All over Washington State there are animals that are being closer to extinction everyday! Your job is to pick an animal and help convince me to join your cause and save the animal. The animals to pick from are all located on the right side of this site. You can be as creative as you want to help save the animal! Good Luck!

You will put together any project that you want in order to tell me features of your animal, where it lives, why it is endangered and how we can help. You will present your findings to the class and teach us how to help your cause and ways to be more conscious of our decisions. A visual aid will be needed, this can be anything you want, a powerpoint, drawings, flyer, signs, it is all up to you. Your goal is to make us aware of what is happening to this animal and ways we can help so the animal does not become extinct. By the end of the presentation you should have the class convinced that they should help save this animal.

Here are some questions to ask yourself if you get stuck on your project…
Why is this animal extinct?
How can I use my backyard to help conservation efforts?
Does my home recycle?
Where does my animal live?
How big is my animal?
What habitat is needed for my animal to survive?
What food source does my animal need?
Why is the natural habitat going away?
Will a map help me describe my animal?
Do I need a chart to show effects?
Does the rubric say I need more information?
Will I use power point?
Would brochures be helpful?
Should I make a rally sign?
What is hurting my animal?
Is my animal being held in captivity to help re populating?
How can I make changes in my home to help?
How will I organize everything so others understand?
Should I make a fact sheet?

Conclusion

You did it! You helped make people aware of their actions and how they effect the environment. Not only that but you now know how to help endangered species and how to make your community aware. This was not an easy task but you all did so well! But now what....?
How can you continue to help this cause? What things might you change? How can you make a difference in your community? How will the information you learned help you in the future?
